#2 Lara Beach | Antalya, Turkey

Lara Beach is a second most popular beach in Antalya. Although only small portion of it is a public beach and the rest is occupied by all-inclusive 5-star hotels.

Lara vs Konyaalti, which is better? Lara is a shallow sand beach, and Konyaalti is a pebble beach where water gets deep fast. But I still would choose Konyaallti because the water is more clear and all of the beach is accessible for public, not just for the guests of the hotels.

  1. Rachel T. says:

Just wanted to say a big thank you, Olga. I’ve been following you since you lived in Antalya years ago, and your videos were such a big help when I started planning my own trip. The guide pulled everything together so nicely — especially the places to see around the city. Found a few spots I’d never have discovered on my own. Really appreciate all the work you put into this.

    1. That honestly means so much to hear — thank you, Rachel! I still have such a soft spot for Antalya, so it really makes me happy to know the videos and guide helped you enjoy it too. I’m glad the recommendations came in handy — and if you ever go back, there’s always more to discover. Thanks for sticking with me all these years!

  2. I’ve been looking into Antalya but still not sure if it’s the right fit for me. The guide looks helpful — mind if I ask a couple of questions before I grab it? Mainly wondering how current it is and if it’s useful for solo travellers too.

    1. Hi Jen,absolutely, happy to help! Yes — the guide is up to date for 2025, including transport info, visa rules, and tips like where to stay (based on your travel style), how to get around without getting overcharged and a few quieter spots that don’t get as crowded. And it definitely works for solo travellers — there’s a nice balance of things to do on your own, local cafés, walking routes, and even a few ideas for day trips. Let me know if there’s anything else you’re curious about!

  3. I’m with Sue — found the guide really useful too. The bit about transport helped me a lot. I’d have been a bit lost with the cards and trams otherwise, but it explained it all really clearly. Ended up using the buses most days without any stress. Really well put together, thanks Olga.

  4. Just wanted to say I found your Antalya guide really helpful. The section about neighbourhoods was brill, helped me decide where to stay (wasn’t keen on the big resort vibe, so went for something a bit smaller near the Old Town). Also discovered a cracking little rooftop place from the guide — lovely view with a glass of wine, made the whole evening.
Very impressed — would’ve missed half of these spots without it. Cheers Olga.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Sue, — means a lot! I’m really glad the guide helped you avoid the resort overload and find a place that suited you better. That rooftop spot is one of my favourites too — such a great way to end the day. Appreciate you taking the time to share this. Hope you had a fantastic stay in Antalya!
